CAREER
California Nursing Student Association (CNSA): Increase professional awareness and growth of nursing students.
Future Teachers Club: Engage students in education for transfer to a four-year university; exchange ideas on teaching, and preparation for a teaching career.
N.E.R.D. (Nitor Edoceo Reapse Discipulus Club): Association for science students.
Scholarship Club: Promote scholarship awareness, outreach, and leadership skills.
CULTURE
Feminist Club: Cover all dynamics of human rights issues, as well as women’s rights by empowering and educating all students through social justice, action, and change.
Gay Lesbian Alternative Straight Alliance (GLASA): Raise awareness of the rights of the GLBT community, promote a safe environment for greater understanding.
Intercultural Club: Bring cultural awareness and ethnic diversity to Golden West.
Mi Casa Club: Promote the academic and personal success of Chicano/Latino students by encouraging advocacy, support, and transition beyond community college.
POLITICS
Model United Nations: A simulation of the structure, procedures, and policies of the real United Nations. Focuses on educating students with the dynamics of multilateral diplomacy and increasing their awareness of global issues and providing resolutions.
Veteran’s Students Organizations: Assist in veterans.
VOLUNTEERING
GWC American Red Cross Club: Revive the cause of the American Red Cross and help people in need.
Help 4 Humanity: Help people in need locally and globally by volunteering and giving back to the community.
