New Boys and Girls Club should open in December

Under construction since last spring, the new Boys and Girls Club Facility will be open to enrich the lives of hundreds of children before the end of the semester expanding on the current programs available.

Moving into the new building will be the Golden West College Child Development Center, which is a part of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Huntington Beach.

The child development program is a licensed preschool that offers child daycare and development programs to infants as young as six weeks old through pre-kindergarten. The current operating hours are from 7 am to 6 pm.

The Boys and Girls center will have the same hours, Monday through Friday with dedicated spaces for infants, toddlers, and preschool aged children. Arena soccer leagues will also be available for children ages 3 ½ and older.

Children participate in developmentally appropriate activities within a warm and supportive environment, led by caring adults trained in childhood education.
