Raymond Huizar
The 5’11, 200 pound sophomore quarterback battled with two other quarterbacks before winning the starting job halfway through the season in 2010. This year he has a firm hold on the job and opened the season with 186 yards and two touchdowns.
Donny Rugles
The sophomore from Mission Viejo does much more than just start at cornerback for the Rustlers. He also contributes as a punter and punt returner. He opened the season with a punt return touchdown and an interception.
Jared Cohen
Cohen appears to be Huizar’s favorite target at receiver as he hauled in five receptions including a touchdown against LBCC. Cohen caught the second most passes for GWC in 2010 and looks to be the leading wide out in 2011.
John Graves
The returning safety made noise in the season opener with a 50 yard fumble recovery for a touchdown. In his freshman year he finished fifth on the Rustlers in tackles and contributed two interceptions as well.
Michael Pierre
Golden West’s leading rusher returns for his sophomore season after accumulating 420 yards rushing and three touchdowns on just 84 attempts. He missed the opener due to an injury, but will look to be a contributor when he returns.
