Calling all GLEEKS!
The cast of “Glee” is going on tour! They will be performing on Friday May 27 at 7:30p.m. at the Honda Center in Anaheim and again Saturday May 28 at 8p.m. at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.  Tickets went on sale Feb. 19 through www.TicketMaster.com. Last year’s 2010 tour sold out so get your tickets fast!

Whale Watching Cruise

A whale of a good time!
Sunset Whale Watching Cruises are located in Dana Point every weekend starting in Feb. from 4 p.m.- 6 p.m.  Ticket prices are $29 for adults, $19 for kids age 3-12, and free for children 2 years old and under.  Enjoy a cocktail at the full bar, and dinner can be purchased at many different restaurants in the area. Also in Dana Point is the 40th Anniversary Festival of the Whales on March 5,6,12 and 13.  40 – 50 whales will be passing through each day starting in December and going through the end of March.  Tickets are available at www.dpfestivalofwhales.com.

A gem in the rough.
On February 25, 26, and 27 the O.C. Fairgrounds will host the Gem Faire.  It is three days of gems, beads, jewelry, crystals and minerals, imported items and more.  It is held at the fairgrounds in building 10 near the event center.  Friday hours are 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday is 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. $7 is the cost for a weekend pass, and kids 11 and under are free.   Parking is $5 for regular, and $8 for preferred.  More information can be found at www.gemfaire.com or by calling (503) 252-8300.

Huntington Beach street fair

Street fair lights up downtown Huntington Beach
On Tuesday nights from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. downtown Huntington Beach closes off Main Street for their weekly street fair and farmer’s market knowns as Surf City Nights.  Vendors line the street cooking foods on open grills and live entertainment is everywhere playing guitars, performing acrobatics and dancing.  Jewelry, art, and clothing is for sale and for kids there are bounce houses and a motorized train ride.  More information available at www.hbdowntown.com.

Garage Theater in Long Beach
For those with a passion for the theater the Garage Theater is a must! A small but mighty voice for the thespian this stage will be showcasing “Almost a Evening.” The zany dark comedy by Eric Coen premieres Feb.25 and runs through March 26. Tickets are $15 for student and $18 for adult general admission. Check them out at www.thegaragetheatre.org
