The 34th Annual Oktoberfest at Old World, located at 7561 Center Ave. in Huntington Beach is upon us. From Wednesdays to Sundays, running till Oct. 30, this German-town, beer celebration features live Oom Pa Pah bands (straight from Germany) and offers something for the whole family (not just for over 21 year-olds). The Orange County Fairgrounds and Exposition Center in Costa Mesa is welcoming back the 12th Annual “Cruisin’ For A Cure” Car Show on Saturday, Sept. 24 from 7 a.m. till 5 p.m. The world’s largest one-day charity car show, supporting City of Hope’s prostate cancer program, will feature on display over 3,400 vehicles, over 200 vendors and exhibitors, and a mile and a half cruise route. Admission is $12, kids under 12 are free, and anyone with a AAA card will receive $2 off admission price.

Tuesdays aren’t just for tacos, they’re for free karaoke as well at Hamburger Mary’s, located on 740 E. Broadway St. in Long Beach. Starting at 10 p.m. and with no cover charge, come win some cash and prizes while you belt out the classics. Great drink specials (including $5 martinis and margaritas) and pool tables are also available. If singing isn’t your thing, there’s dancing from midnight till close.
Come watch the complicated courtship between Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet in “Pride and Prejudice,” directed by Kyle Donnelly, playing at the South Coast Repertory Theater, located on 655 Town Center Dr. in Costa Mesa. This classical Jane Austen novel, adapted for the stage by Joseph Hanreddy and J.R. Sullivan , will be running till Oct.9, and tickets are $20 for students under twenty-five, and $62 for regular admission.
