I tell the nursing assistant at the front desk “I’d like to get a physical”.

She said “we need to triage you” and indicated that they were too busy to see me.

I don’t think she even knew what the word meant which is scary. Triage is when people are seriously ill and you need to determine who to treat first. I didn’t need ‘triage’, I needed a basic physical for my medical course.

It seemed more like she had snap-judged me and thought I looked too un-needy or non-hispanic for her. I asked if I came in the next morning if they could see me but she indicated they could be too busy then too. I didn’t see any nurses or medical personnel anywhere, the place looked empty.

It seems to me there is something wrong with AltaMed. I would suggest that if they are getting public funds that they be checked as to how many people they served and what the public paid for this.

Sorry but they asked for this from their incompetent front desk people.
I went to another clinic and they happily gave me a back to school physical immediately without asking to ‘triage me’. This place made me shudder.
