Take a trip back to 1960’s Baltimore in “Hairspray” where Tracy Turnblad, a teenager with a big personality, will do anything to get onto her local dance show. Playing at the Musical Theater West located on 6200 E. Atherton St. in Long Beach, this musical adventure is directed by Larry Raben and starts on Oct. 28 and runs through Nov. 13.
Tickets are on sale now starting from $17 to $70.

Attention camera enthusiasts, Los Angeles’ monthly camera swap meet will be held every Sunday, starting from Oct. 23 to Feb. 26, from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. at the Holiday Inn located on 7000 Beach Blvd. in Buena Park. Taking up two large ballrooms, this swap meet lets you buy and sell cameras and offers camera repair and cleaning services. Admission is only $2 and parking is free.


Centerfield Sports Bar and Grill, located on 17296 Beach Blvd, in Huntington Beach, has comedy night every Monday night right after football. They bring top comedians to perform and keep you entertained, while offering great drink specials, such as domestic pints of beer for only $3. The staff is friendly, and it’s a fun atmosphere to just go and watch the big game, and enjoy some of the world’s best comedians for free.

 

“Freak Out” is this year’s theme for the 14th Annual Trick or Treat Festival on Sunday, Oct. 30, at the Orange County Market Place, in Costa Mesa and it includes lots of freakish fun for the kids. Activities include trick or treating from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., free face painting, balloon creation contests, and the first 500 kids also receive a free gift. Tickets to this all day event are only $2.
